When I started Anand Hing, I did so with a simple but stubborn belief: that the heart of Indian cooking deserves better than the “ordinary.”
In my own kitchen and in my conversations with professional chefs, I noticed a recurring problem. The market was filled with diluted, inconsistent spices that lacked the true, pungent soul of authentic asafoetida. The “pinch” that was supposed to transform a dish had become a compromise.
I decided that "good enough" wasn't enough.
Anand Premium Strong Hing was born from a vision to bring back the gold standard of purity. My goal was to create a product that could stand the heat of a professional kitchen while bringing that same “reputed chef” quality to every home cook’s spice box.
